M/s ZHENG KENG ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD was established in 1978 as 'SUAN KENG ENTERPRISE CO.' with its first office at Block 5039, Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2, #01-489. Our main activities then were supplying and installation of plumbing and sanitary services covering Public, HDB and Private Projects. The first private project awarded to us was the “48 units of 3 storey bungalows at Chuan Terrace”.
In 1988, the Government invited all category contractors to be listed under the then CIDB Authority (now known as “Building & Construction Authority, BCA”). ZHENG KENG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD was then established and the main activities were installation of plumbing, sanitary and gas services while SUAN KENG ENTERPRISE CO. focused on import / export and market sales.
Over the years, ZHENG KENG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD has been actively involved in the upgrading project under Government initiative such as the first upgrading of 9 blocks of HDB precinct under the MUP programme at Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 precinct.
In 1991, our company joint ventured with SANITON CERAMIC PTE LTD. This new partnership has brought ZHENG KENG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD to a higher level of activities. Through SANITON CERAMIC PTE LTD, ZHENG KENG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD able to provide one-stop services for design, manufacture and market of various vitreous china sanitary wares for Architects and Consultants’ aesthetic needs. These wares also comply with the Singapore Government Statuary Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MWELS).
Throughout the years, our company has expanded in both financial capacity as well as job scopes. In Year 1997, we decided to rename our company to ‘ZHENG KENG ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD’. Soon after, Engineering & fabrication works have become one of the company main core activities. In October 1997, we purchased a JTC factory in Senoko Crescent to accommodate more staff and the engineering & fabrication works.
In 1998, our company collaborated with ACLM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD and ventured into the general building construction activities. Our first joint venture building project was the construction of “Jurong West N6C23 HDB flats (507 units)”. Since then, ZHENG KENG ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD has been ACLM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD nominated subcontractor for its Rebuilding, Alterations & Additions and Upgrading Works for various Public and Private Project over the island.
Besides excelling in the above services, the Management constantly emphasises on providing good quality services, perfect workmanship and safe working environment. The management also takes the lead in embarking on the ISO Quality Management System ISO 9000 and Occupational and Health and Safety Management System. The company has thus achieved the ISO 9002:1994 in year 1999 and upgraded itself to ISO 9001:2008 in 2009. In Year 2009, the company successfully integrated the ISO 9000:2008 Quality Management System and OSHAS 18001:2007 Occupational, Health and Safety Management System. Our company has successfully certified of both schemes in year 2009.
